Quick answer · updated August 2026

What's the best scheduling software with payments built in?

Pick a tool where payment is part of the booking step, not an add-on: the client chooses a time, pays, and only then is the slot locked. CalenQ is built around exactly that — Stripe, PayPal and Razorpay (UPI) included on every plan, plus deposits, card holds for approval-based bookings, refund policies and discount codes. One-time $39 (₹3,500) lifetime license; Calendly and Acuity gate payments behind paid subscriptions.

Three ways to get paid

CalenQ gives you real control over when money changes hands. Charge at booking as the default, require payment first so the slot is confirmed only after a client pays, or use request-to-book: the client requests a time, you review it, and the payment is captured only when you approve. On Stripe and supported PayPal accounts that means a genuine card hold with capture on accept and a void on decline. Where holds are not possible, such as Razorpay in India, the client is charged on request and refunded in full if you decline.

Policies that protect your time

Set a refund policy per booking type: flexible, moderate, strict, non-refundable or a custom rule. Moderate keeps reschedules free until 24 hours out and charges a share after that; strict holds the line to 48 hours. A reschedule-fee engine lets you add a base fee plus a tiered ladder, always capped at the amount the client paid. When you cancel or reject, the client always gets a full refund, which keeps things fair.

Built in, not bolted on

Payments, payment-first booking, discount codes and tax invoicing are part of CalenQ, not a premium upsell. The whole platform is a one-time $39 for lifetime access with no subscription, so payment collection never sits behind a more expensive plan. You get a 15-day free trial with no card and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Questions, answered

Payments, FAQ

How CalenQ collects and protects your money.

Which payment processors does CalenQ support?

Stripe, PayPal and Razorpay. Razorpay adds UPI, cards and net banking for clients in India. You connect your own account, so funds settle directly to you.

Can I require payment before the slot is confirmed?

Yes. Set a booking type to payment-first and the time is held only after the client pays.

How does the request-to-book card hold work?

On Stripe and supported PayPal accounts, the card is authorized when the client requests a time and captured only when you approve, or voided if you decline. Where holds are not supported, the client is charged on request and refunded in full on decline.

Can I set a cancellation policy?

Yes. Choose flexible, moderate, strict, non-refundable or a custom policy per booking type, and add a reschedule fee capped at the amount paid.

Are payments locked to a higher plan?

No. Payments are included in the one-time $39 lifetime price. There is no subscription and no renewal.
